What to Know Before Trying Nicotine Pouches
If you’re curious about nicotine pouches, here’s what you need to know before giving them a go:
- What are nicotine pouches?
- What’s in a nicotine pouch?
- What’s the feeling with nicotine pouches?
- How do they compare to smoking, vaping, or snus?
What Are Nicotine Pouches?
Nicotine pouches are small fabric bags containing nicotine (without tobacco*), flavourings, and other ingredients. They fit snugly between your lip and gum, gradually releasing nicotine over a short period (up to 30 minutes for VELO pouches). They come in a range of flavours and nicotine strengths.
What’s in a Nicotine Pouch?
VELO nicotine pouches contain water, plant-based materials, flavourings, sweeteners, and nicotine. For more details, check out our guide on how VELO pouches are produced.
How Easy Are Nicotine Pouches to Use?
Nicotine pouches are convenient and portable. Simply place one between your lip and gum, anytime and anywhere. They’re also easy to dispose of, with a handy compartment in the lid for used pouches.
How to Use Nicotine Pouches: Nicotine Dosage Guide
Your choice depends on how frequently you smoke. If you’re after more nicotine, you can opt for a stronger pouch. For a milder experience, go for a lighter one. A typical pouch delivers nicotine for about 30 minutes. When you’re finished, just recycle responsibly.
How Do Nicotine Pouches Feel?
One of the most noticeable things when using a VELO pouch for the first time is the “VELO burn”—the tingling sensation you feel as it works. This is a signature part of the experience, but if it’s too intense, try a lower strength or a different flavour.
Nicotine Pouches Compared to Smoking, Vaping, and Snus:
- Smoking: VELO pouches deliver nicotine without the smoke or tobacco. Ideal for places where smoking is prohibited.
- Vaping: VELO pouches don’t use vape and don’t require charging or heat. They can be used anytime, anywhere.
- Snus: The key difference is that snus contains tobacco, whereas VELO pouches are 100% tobacco-free*.
